- If any companies require a court order (a ‘Grant of Representation’), which legally proves a person’s authority to act on behalf of the estate.

A Grant of Representation is called ‘Probate’ if there was a Will, or ‘Letters of Administration’ if no Will. While you need a lawyer for the Grant, you can choose how much administration to hand over or take on yourself.
